Filing for Divorce in Jordan – Everything You Need to Know
There are two main legal paths for filing a divorce case before the Sharia Court in Jordan:
🔹 First Scenario: Khulu Divorce (Initiated by the Wife Without Needing Proof)
This process allows the wife to file for divorce in Jordan without presenting any evidence or reason, simply on the basis that she no longer wishes to remain married.
Key points:
The wife waives her financial rights agreed upon in the marriage contract.
She must return the dowry or any amount received as stated in the contract.
No witnesses or proof required.
No personal attendance in Jordan is necessary.

🔹 Second Scenario: Divorce Due to Marital Disputes
